So why "The Beetles"? First Beetles are hardy little things that can survive virtually anywhere and these
humble but nevertheless tough creatures are a source of inspiration for us. Second, the ancient Egyptians believed
the scarab beetle to be a symbol of rebirth and frequently included them in their burial art in the hopes that this
would ensure them safe passage through the afterlife. Likewise we hope that this symbol will bring us good fortune
on our own life-altering journey. Third, they look cool. Without further ado, here are The Beetles!

Kirk is currently pursuing his second year of studies in electrical engineering at the University of Waterloo
and just completed a workterm in Silicon Valley, California. He is 22 years old and originally from St. Hubert,

Michael is from the Montreal suburb of Saint Hubert, Quebec, soon to be known as the Mega-city of Longueuil
(government bastards). Mike is currently enrolled in the computer science program in Dawson College. Prior to
"the big bike" as he likes to call it, Mike was attending college and working part time as a sales
representative for Xerox. His previous occupations included telemarketing, telemarketing, and telemarketing.
Mike's favourite hobbies are biking whenever he gets the chance, substituted by hockey in the winter, and
going to the gym. He's been dreaming of an opportunity for many number of years to challenge the country with
his bike, and is still in awe that opportunity has knocked so soon. Mike is 19 years of age. |
