| Route Description: |
Home Sweet Home! Almost immediately after crossing the border, we get off the Trans Canada Hwy and
follow Hwy 342 down the Riviere des Outaouais which merges with Hwy 20 near Dorion. On Hwy 20 we cross the
Tashereau and Galipeau Bridges onto the Island of Montreal. From there, we'll make use of the Montreal bike
paths, leaving the island through the Concorde and Victoria Bridges to arrive in St. Lambert. We then follow
Boulevard Grande-Allee, passing St. Hubert, and turn East on Hwy 223 which veers North to follow the
Richelieu River. At Sorel, we turn East onto Hwy 132 to follow the Southern Shore of the St. Lawrence River,
crossing Riviere Saint Francois and Riviere Chaudiere, en route to Levis. We continue down the St. Lawrence
to Riviere-du-Loup, where we turn South-East onto Hwy 185 (TCH) passing Lac Temiscouata to the New Brunswick
border! |
